The Barefoot Burglar

Colton Harris-Moore a.k.a Barefoot Burglar is a famous 19 year old serial criminal. He is like the the boy who forge checks in the movie “CATCH ME IF YOU CAN”. Why do I say that? Because this 19 year old kid has started his criminal carrier at the age of 12 the Barefoot Burglar was sentence to his fourth juvenile jail sentence for a break in and burglary at the Standwoord Library. The officers had their short period of relieve until he was released from Denney and vanished himself into the criminal world. He committed more then 10 crimes from the age of 12-15 for stealing walkie-talkies, stealing credit-cards,  attempting burglaries, cars, computer devices etc… He was busted a few times by the cops but manages to escape himself into his criminal world.

Now at the age of 19 at 2010 the Barefoot Burglar continues his criminal carrier and became quite famous for his trademark for leaving white chalk footprints while he adds his list of juvenile record. He started to get famous when he ran from the American law enforcements from his escape from the Washington state halfway house in 2008, people started to admire his ability to escape from the police. He is now suspected for stealing cars, boats, and at least 5 airplanes, which includes an airplane he stole in Indiana and flew all by himself one thousand miles to the islands of Florida’s coast.

July 11 2010 Barefoot Burglar Colton Harris-Moore was finally arrested as he tried to make a water escape. He was handcuffed shoeless to face justice in the capital, ending his 2 year life on the run. A group of high ranking police officers traveled to the island to welcome and took the suspect to Nassau where he will most probably face his extradition to the United States.

His popularity gave him 58,000 fans on Facebook and some of them were disappointed when he was caught and show disappointed messages and promoted T-Shirts and tote bags with the words “Free Colton!” and “Let Colton Fly!”. He also added another 30,000 fans to his Facebook after he got arrested which made him having around 85,000 more fans!

Ever since my son, Colt, was ten years old, the police have blamed him for crimes he did not commit.

Now, there’s not a break-in or a theft in the entire Northwest that the media or law enforcement doesn’t rush to pin on Colt.

We have no way of knowing what charges will be filed against Colt.

The media has already convicted him as ‘the Barefoot Bandit’  and created widespread accusations and perception of guilt.

Eventually, though, Colt will have to fight for his freedom against the full force of the legal system.
