Melbourne International Arts Festival-Mischievous Bells

The Mischievous Bells performance was for he opening of the Melbourne International Arts Festival on October 9, 2009 in Melbourne, Australia. The performance is held 130 feet in the air and involves an orchestra of bell ringers and percussionists seemingly suspended over the Melbourne city skyline. The carillon contains eight musicians with bells, gongs and drums and three trapeze artists.

It was magical; a giant mobile suspended in the air with the cityscape as a backdrop. When the photos did not include the cityscape background, it looks surreal.
