Once Believed Extinct Almiqui was Found

This animal is called the Cuban Solenodon which is also called the Almiqui. The Almiqui eats insects and looks like a rat and can be found in Cuba.It was last sighted during 1999, the animal was first discovered during 1861 by a German naturalist Whilhelm Peters which. There was only 36 known Almiqui ever caught and the Cuban Solenodon that was found in 2003, named Alejandrito, brought the number ever caught to 37.
