Mardan Palace – Europe most expensive resort
Mardan Palace is a luxury hotel in Lara, Antalya, Turkey which was built by Azerbaijani billionaire Telman Ishmailov.
It was declared open on 23 May 2009 and was attended by Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, Sharon Stone, Richard Gere, Monica Bellucci, Seal, Tom Jones and the Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Mardan Palace is the most expensive resort in Europe and Mediterranean.
The hotel itself cost $1.5 billion USD and has the Mediterranean’s largest swimming pool which within has a sunken aqyaruim containing 2,400 fishes. The hotel has 560 rooms and a 12,000 sq ft spa and even its own beach which uses 9,000 tons of sand imported from Egypt. The hotel also contains 2,500 tons of gold, 500,000 crystals and 23,000 square metres of Italian marble.
The hotel rooms costs from $ 475 up to $ 19 thousand per night. First class rooms have a pool, a concert grand piano, huge TV and a toilet with a remote control.
The corporate identity and website for the hotel was created by Brash Brands in Dubai, for which they received an International Design Award.
